Hey There.

Every loaf of bread starts with the same exact thing. Patience... sometimes, overwhelming “Why don’t I just go buy it at the store,” and just enough flour on the counter to make it look like you’ve been cooking all day. My grandmother was a firm believer in eyeballing all of her ingredients. She always said, “Meh, it’ll work out, or there’s a store down the street somewhere to buy it”. But she was also the person to make what she could, so she knew what was in her food. She made everything. Jams, crepes, pickles. Oh man.

Hearth & Flour Co. was born to do just that. Nowadays, we have no idea what’s in our food anymore… that should scare people. My goal is to have basic ingredients to make delicious treats without breaking the bank and without destroying our bodies. The calories, on the other hand, will get you. But I’ve said it before, “If it’s homemade, the calories don’t count, right?”. There are very few things that I won’t bake (I have zero patience... very much an instant gratification person), but if it comes down to basic and wholesome ingredients, it should be fairly simple… except croissants. Can’t do those.
I’m excited to keep learning more recipes along this insane journey. My kids are excited to be taste testers…. My husband wants to have all of the sweets without the setback from the gym. It’ll buff out.

I’m Lindy

I’ve deleted my about me section like 3 times. BUT. I’m a mom of 3 kiddos, who have blessed me more than I know. I’m a happily married woman to a wonderful military man. We’ve moved so many times that we have the itch to move, which is why we’re building a house in the middle of nowhere with some friends and doing the farm dream most people only get to talk about, so we are truly blessed. We are Christians! Jesus has done more for me in my life, and without Him & His grace, this business and anything else that’s been happening lately wouldn’t be happening.

We are currently working on getting our horse trailer transformed with some amazing friends, into a mobile storefront bakery so I can serve others outside of our kitchen! I’m excited to break bread with you (after you’ve purchased a loaf, let’s not be wasteful)!
